Meet Our Team

Amy joined Wahpeton Family Dentistry in 2024. She brings with her over 20 years of dental hygiene experience in both periodontal specialty and general dental practices. Amy has lived in Wahpeton for 30 years and has two sons Dillon and Andrew. Amy states her love for periodontal treatment and patient education is what drives her in her career and the most rewarding aspect is the bonds she forms with patients as a result.

Kyra is a dental hygienist with a passion for promoting oral health, delivering excellent patient care, and creating an environment all patients can be comfortable in. She completed her associate’s degree at NDSCS and her bachelor’s degree at the University of Minnesota, Mankato, graduating with honors from both. She has a passion for learning that fuels her career growth and aspirations. Kyra has three children and resides here in Wahpeton. She loves spending time with her family and activities like hiking, shooting bow, and reading.

Liza graduated from NDSCS with her degree in Dental Hygiene in 2016. Through opportunities while dental hygiene temping, she has gotten to work in a variety of settings and practices and is excited to be working at Wahpeton Family Dentistry.

She thoroughly enjoys getting to know all of her patients through a caring and comprehensive approach to their dental health and making positive impacts in their lives. When not at the office, Liza enjoys riding, competing, and training horses, specifically for Cowboy Mounted Shooting with her husband.

Laura has been a certified, registered, licensed dental assistant for 39 years, including acting as an office manager for 15 of those years.

In her current position she gets to do a bit of everything. What she enjoys most though is seeing and getting to know our patients. Laura sees the team we have as our greatest asset to our office and the care you get from them is second to none!

Abbey is a registered dental assistant. She earned her associate in applied science degree in dental assisting from NDSCS in Wahpeton. Abbey started at Wahpeton Family Dentistry in August of 2025, and loves the profession and team she works with. She looks forward to making connections with patients, new and old, in the office!

Ariah Wangstad is a Registered Dental Assistant who graduated in May 2026 from North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS) in Wahpeton with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Dental Assisting. She began her journey with Wahpeton Family Dental as an intern and quickly discovered that the practice was the perfect fit for her.

Ariah officially joined the team in August 2026 and is passionate about providing exceptional patient care, paying close attention to detail, and helping patients feel comfortable and confident during their dental visits. She has a genuine love for dentistry and enjoys creating positive experiences for every patient she has the opportunity to care for.

Kaydence is originally from Fargo and moved to Wahpeton in the spring of 2025. She started at the office in March of 2025, and loves seeing and helping patients every day, and the friendly environment at Wahpeton Family Dentistry. She is currently getting her associate’s degree in business management through Rasmussen. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends and family, and summertime at the lake.

Karly has been in the dental field since 2006 and has worked in a variety of offices including oral surgery, pediatric, and general dentistry. She started as a certified, registered dental assistant for 7 years and from there transferred to the front office and working with insurance.

During her free time, she enjoys watching and playing softball, reading, camping and spending time at the lake with her son.
